Overview
Trostyanets City Council governs the city of Trostyanets in the Sumy region of northeastern Ukraine. The city has a population of approximately 19,500 people and is known for its historical landmarks, including “Kruhliy Dvir” and the late Baroque Church of the Annunciation. The council oversees administrative and economic activities, social infrastructure, and development projects.
Trostyanets faced significant challenges during the 2022 Russian invasion, resulting in extensive damage to infrastructure and historical sites. Since then, the community has been actively engaged in reconstruction and recovery efforts.
Brief Description of the Project / Technology / Other Specifics
The project involves creating a multi-functional rehabilitation hydrotherapy complex on the grounds of Trostyanets City Hospital. The 1,838.17 sq. m. facility is designed to address the physical and mental health needs of residents and military personnel affected by the war. The complex will offer massage rooms, manual therapy and lymphatic drainage areas, a swimming pool, therapeutic spa, and hydromassage facilities.

Head of Community Overview
Yuriy Bova, Mayor of Trostyanets since 2005, leads the city council. With a background in engineering and over 24 years of experience, Yuriy has played a vital role in local governance and community service, including serving as Vice-President of the Association of Open Cities.
