Overview

The Mezhiv Settlement Territorial Community was established in February 2017 and encompasses 30 populated areas, including 2 urban-type settlements and 28 villages, covering a total area of 630 sq. km. Located in the Synelnykove district of the Dnipropetrovsk region, it borders the Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions. The administrative center is Mezhova, with a total population of 14,646. Following the full-scale invasion, the community provided shelter to an additional 5,253 internally displaced persons (IDPs).

The project involves constructing a five-story, multi-apartment residential building to house internally displaced persons (IDPs). Located in the eastern part of Mezhova, it is strategically positioned in a low-rise residential area surrounded by key landmarks such as Mezhiv Central Hospital and the Mezhiv Agrarian Lyceum boarding school.

Project Specifications

  • Building Structure: Five-story residential building with 40 apartments (22 one-bedroom and 18 two-bedroom units).
  • Total Facility Area: 2,013.7 m², with a residential building footprint of 2,723.8 m².
  • On-Site Facilities:
    • Parking lot (1,132.59 m²)
    • Children’s playground (71.25 m²)
    • Recreation area (20 m²)
    • Bicycle parking (10.13 m²)
    • Physical education area (202.50 m²)
    • Landscaping and land improvements (1,905 m²)
  • Utilities: Installation of external water supply, drainage, heat supply, and gas networks to comprehensively support the building’s functions.

This residential complex aims to provide secure housing for 135 families affected by the war, fostering an inclusive and accessible community environment. It is a "turnkey" project designed to address urgent housing needs while enhancing community resilience and well-being.

Head of Community Overview

Volodymyr Zrazhevsky has served as Head of the Mezhiv Settlement Territorial Community since October 2015. In 2020, he was elected Chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk regional branch of the All-Ukrainian Community Association.
