Overview
Ukrainian Geoinformational Systems (GIS) is an IT company specializing in developing and implementing SaaS systems for cashless payment (AFC) and dispatching in public transport. Their solutions are designed to improve the transport systems of cities and regions.
Brief Description of the Project
The TREK system is a cloud-based (SaaS) IT solution focused on modernizing public transportation to promote sustainability. The system is built around three core services:
- Unified payment system: TREK supports electronic ticketing, allowing passengers to pay for rides using mobile apps, bank cards, transportation cards, personalized discount cards, or cash.
- Transportation system management tools: TREK provides automated tools for authorities to collect data, optimize operations, forecast demand, and maintain control over public transit networks.
- GPS-Based management and dispatching: TREK’s GPS dispatching system tracks vehicle movement, ensures schedule adherence, and monitors route compliance and driver performance.
TREK currently operates across five regions in Ukraine, serving a population of around 710,000 people and managing approximately 5,000 vehicles. By utilizing the GTFS protocol, TREK integrates transportation networks across various areas into a unified digital system, supporting sustainable transit solutions.
